DDU is an older term that people still use to mean “duties unpaid,” where the customer/recipient pays duties and taxes on delivery. The modern Incoterm equivalent is usually DAP. In contrast, DDP means the seller pays duties/taxes so the customer doesn’t get a bill at the door.
