Lead Full Stack Developer

Looking for a new challenge? We’re an early-stage start-up in the e-commerce and finance space that is looking for a technical wizard who is going to take our software solutions to the next level. As our lead engineer, you will have full responsibility over the system architecture, and play a pivotal role in shaping the tech development and strategy. You will be self-driven, comfortable working with ambiguity, ready to get your hands dirty, while also capable of leading a small team. You will be able to establish timelines, and to stick to them.

We are an easy-going team with open minds and big ambitions. Our ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoys moving fast and wearing multiple hats. You will be a full-stack engineer with expertise in APIs, integrations, building web applications, and a high-level of familiarity with common web frameworks and databases. Experience within e-commerce and payments automation are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with co-founders to develop technology strategy and approach
  • Assume leadership of new projects from conceptualization to deployment
  • Define phased solution plans with specification of features and functionality
  • Create solution framework and provide detailed development plan including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements
  • Ensure high performance of solutions, with an eye towards scale and ease-of-use

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years back-end or full-stack web development experience using modern tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of software design and architecture patterns
  • Experience building web applications and working with 3rd party APIs
  • Unit/e2e/integration testing experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
